For use with private mobile radios (PMRs), phones, radios and MP3 players, the AdaptEar™ is a small and discreet device that is plugged in line between your radio and headphones, earphones or in-ear monitors. It provides the user with hearing protection and has a user adjustable limit level that is selectable dependent on the ear pieces being used, and the intended listening duration. Excessive signal levels cause the limiting element of the AdaptEar™ to flash, alerting the user – a critical feature that allows the unit to be tested before use.

AdaptEar™ also allows the user to safely connect IEM earpieces via a standard mini-jack connector to a wide range of communications devices. This is done by the use of interchangeable "Adaptor Leads" that connect to the AdaptEar™ unit.

In addition, the AdaptEar™ allows the connection of a variety of microphones to allow reverse communication and has an auxiliary input to enable the simultaneous connection of other audio devices such as a second PMR channel, mobile phones or even an MP3 player. Compatible with most in-ear devices and headphones - works with most makes of two-way radio (ask us for confirmation that your device is compatible)
